Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, the surgeon who played a crucial role in Pant's recovery following a near-fatal car accident in December 2022, shared his thoughts on Pant's now-viral somersault. In an interview with The Telegraph, Dr. Pardiwala noted, "Rishabh trained as a gymnast. Although he looks large, he is quite agile, and he does have a lot of flexibility. And, that’s why he’s been doing those somersaults of late. It’s a well-practised and perfected move — unnecessary though!"

Pant's return to the cricket field is a testament to his resilience and determination. The serious car accident on December 30, 2022, resulted in multiple injuries and sidelined him for an extended period.
