Vijay, the actor who has transitioned into politics, has been officially declared as the Chief Ministerial candidate for the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) in the upcoming 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. This significant decision was reached through a special resolution during the party’s State Executive Committee meeting held at the TVK headquarters in Chennai.
According to NDTV, the meeting, led by Vijay himself, also initiated plans for a large-scale state conference scheduled for the next month.
